What is the one-to-one program of studies?

It is a personalized program, designed after having carefully considered your personal needs, learning style, academic discipline or professional specialization, your time and even lifestyle conditions or your weaknesses. As highly personalized, this program tailors the material, all stimuli and the method of teaching to your learning style/cerebral function and ensures that readjustments occur according to your progress at all times.
This translates itself into a thorough observation of your state of mind, your mood, and your ability to manage what’s been taught or needed to study at home by your tutor, so that she reinvents or amends the method of applying theory into practice.
This is what our students call “exciting” or “special” – a feeling which pushes them to eagerly keep on studying, regardless of any demanding topics integrated into our program of studies. The focus of the one-to-one program is the individual and his/her learning style, rather than the material itself. What are the steps towards student placement and design of a personalized program of studies?

1. At first, we meet our new students in an induction first class which sets the foundations of our cooperation and your personal learning goals. In this open class (free of charge), you will meet your tutor and be offered the opportunity to have a first-hand experience of our teaching method. In this very class, we will attempt to estimate your learning style, your personality and see the way your brain processes the material given. Based on these findings, we design your personalized program of studies.

2. A presentation of all the international English language certifications in the field you intend to study or work on is offered. By the end of the induction course you will have a clear idea about the types of exams and certificates available and will receive guidance as to which one best suits your needs.

3. We propose a different number of study options and schedules with fees which vary depending on the program. We aim in creating a strong and honest relationship among the tutors and experts of our team and our students, and any flexibility which promotes the interests of our students is what we care for.

4. Once you have reached an informed decision of the ideal study option and schedule for you, you will need to call, email or drop by and register for a study program. We will keep your contact details, reserve days and hours and make sure you can start your studies within the following one to three days.

What is the organization of my personalized program of studies? Is there a routine I can count on?

As a matter of fact, there is! Once classes commence, you will have ongoing communication with your tutor via email, skype, dropbox and social media even between classes. We want to make sure that you receive constant feedback and guidance for your study method at home and supportive material to what’s been covered in class. It is common to see that communication with your tutor serves as a strong boost for your persistence in studying well and offers valuable feedback on how to approach a topic or project, especially in the first weeks/months, when the study method taught in the induction class and thereafter, is something you may struggle to attain. Our cooperation, even between classes is a strong indication of our timeless, ongoing commitment for personalized teaching and a catalyst for your learning progress.

What is the “group of four” program?

This is a powerful program which offers partly-personalized teaching, yet emphasizes the development of social skills and teamwork though the use of English. Language development unfolds itself in real-life working or studying conditions, through presentations, lectures, assignments and personal or group projects, problem-solving and crisis-management techniques. The aim of this program is to prepare you reach the highest possible scores of the international certification you will need, in real-life language use.

1. At first, we meet one another, see how the material is being taught, estimate your learning style, your personality and see the way your brain processes the material given and set the learning goals/certifications which will prove your competence in using English for studies or for work.

English is taught in prearranged meetings on a weekly basis, during which you are instantly encouraged to actively participate. The core program is designed in such a way that grammar, vocabulary as well as writing and speaking skills are sharpened through a progressively challenging content, which builds up in a clear, logical manner. Contrary to any anachronistic teaching approach, we abandon vocabulary memorization and gap-filling grammar exercises and engage in a step-by-step teaching of the ways in which we can express our lives and what is happening around. Another element of great importance in this program is the manifestation of meaningful study methods.
